Whatever your sleeve pick, the gathering foot will help you achieve this look by folding and bunching fabric to give your garment that extra desired volume.

Knit is making a hit next year! Striped knit dresses were seen on the runway in varying lengths and colors from brands like Kate Spade and Altuzarra. Make this figure flattering dress yours by wearing it down with sandals or adding metallic accessories for an evening out.
Knit can be a tricky fabric to sew without the right tools. Below are 5 tips to achieve this look:
1. Use ballpoint needles sew in between the knit for a beautiful finish.
2. Use thread that has a stretch so it moves in harmony with the fabric. Polyester thread is recommended.
3. Use an even feed or walking foot. This foot comes with upper and lower feed dogs that evenly feeds fabric and prevents puckers.
4. If your sewing machine does not come with a walking foot, you may slightly raise the presser foot with the micro-lifter to prevent puckers.

5. Select the right stitch: zig zag or triple straight stitch that allows your fabric to move without popping a seam. You may also use a serger.
